Herald News reviewTHEY played their debut album live to an appreciative sell-out audience in their hometown on March 28 and went down a storm.
Worthing's Sandweaver launched Invasion at Club Seven and sold about 70 copies of the long-awaited CD to boot. The Indie foursome proved they have the song-writing and musical talent, the ability, the professionalism and the look to be up there with the big names. The only question is when will they be snapped up by the music moguls? Matt Sweet (vocals and guitar), JP Stubbs (lead guitar), Tom Pople (bass guitar) and John Hickling (drums) brought the album from the studio to the stage with complete ease. In two sets, they took us on a musical journey through the band's history with the 11 album tracks selected from hundreds they have created through the years. Showing their diversity, they gave us melodic songs like Mending and Navigator, alongside the punchy and darker Shot Down and Never Go Back. We were promised mixing swirling basslines, pounding drums, delayed electric guitar sounds and impassioned multi-part harmonies, light and dark, love and loss – and that's just what we got. Able support on the night came from Worthing songstress Beth Thomas and London's Capelilos. If you missed it, you missed out, but you can still get your copy of the album from Music Mania, West Buildings, Worthing, Random Rules, Warwick Lane, Worthing, or from their website by clicking here Nikki Jeffery The full article contains 247 words and appears in n/a newspaper.
