Product Description
The Long awaited debut ablum from SANDWEAVER. With tracks: Shot down, Jupiter Girl, Longevity, Falling Stars, Invasion, Red Band, Mending, Navigator, This Town won't eat me Fixed and Never go back After just over a year in the studio, Worthing-based Indie-space-rockers Sandweaver release their debut album Invasion. The band are renowned for their engaging live shows which have made an impression on the music industry, gaining them many high profile support slots over the years including such diverse artists as Bloc Party, Texas and Finley Quaye. The album consists of eleven songs which have been carefully selected from the hundreds written over the years to create a dynamic and contrasted album - from the acoustic floating-in-space-like tracks Navigator and Mending to the epic and chilling Shot Down, Never Go Back and Invasion. Mixing swirling basslines, pounding drums, delayed electric guitar sounds and impassioned multi-part harmonies into a crescendo of melodic stories of love, loss and laser beams, the album takes you on a journey through the light and dark of the current Indie scene in a way that is both unique and accessible.Recorded in various studios by Mike Baker, Invasion utilises cutting-edge synth sounds, drum triggers and sound processing that will also be replicated in their live performance creating a larger-than-life sound both on CD and on the stage. The stunning album artwork (pictured) was designed and created by singer Matt Sweet and is based on comic books panels and 50’s B-movies.
